"Jane Eyre: An Autobiography"
A genuine feeling leaves a mark in our soul, a mark which will never disappear.
Jane Eyre: An Autobiography was welcomed with a very enthusiastic reaction of readers. Charlotte Brontë skilfully combined a melodrama with a psychological analysis of characters and a sense of mystery, or dread. In a masterful way, she also managed to include autobiographical motives in the novel, related to falling in love with a married man which she experienced with her teacher.
